New Koppel pitchers grom Georg Jensen

THE KOPPEL PITCHER:
A MID-CENTURY MARVEL

Designed in 1955, reissued in 2009, iconic forever.

Danish sculptor Henning Koppel crafted a single unit of his now well-known pitcher in 1955. Made from sterling silver exclusively for Georg Jensen, the impressive piece featured a sculptural silhouette that gave the design a unique and recognizable expression.

In 2009, Georg Jensen reissued the pitcher in polished stainless steel, bringing back a mid-century masterpiece and transforming it into a Danish design icon that can be found in homes across the world.

MINI AND MIGHTY: THE PETITE PITCHER

The new petite edition of the Koppel Pitcher retains all the elements that make the design iconic, from its pronounced curves to its sculptural appearance. Ideal for milk and cream, or to just hold a small flower, the design is just as brilliant as Koppel first envisioned it.

FROM SKETCH TO STEEL: KOPPEL IN COLOUR

There’s a common misconception that Danish design lacks colour. Quite the contrary. Henning Koppel himself used to brush his many sketches with a range of vivid hues, from light shades of purple to pastel greens and deep blues. This very palette inspired the latest editions of the coveted pitcher, now coated with a colourful matte finish.

PAST THE PITCHER: THE KOPPEL COLLECTION

While many know Koppel for his iconic pitcher, the sculptor and long-time Georg Jensen collaborator gave life to an impressive body of work over the years. From his shapely steel vase to elegant wristwatches and sumptuous silver pitchers, his creations span far and wide.
