Swedish prince Sigvard Bernadotte was one of Scandinavia’s most prominent representatives of the functionalist movement. His designs for Georg Jensen, including the well-known Thermo Jug, are defined by clean and geometric shapes that give each piece an everlasting appeal.

THE KOPPEL PITCHER

Sleek shapes

Sculptor Henning Koppel first joined Georg Jensen’s studio in the 1940s and went on to create a striking collection of designs that have endured in history. Most notably the HK Pitcher, defined by a sleek and elegant appearance, remains one of Koppel’s most celebrated works.

Its distinctive undulated curves make the Cobra collection one that stands out. Comprising everything from candle holders to tableware and glassware, the designs by Constantin Wortmann were introduced in 2011 and have since become a true Georg Jensen staple.
