COPENHAGEN Design 1085 Candlestick large

Based on an original 1960 design for an altar candle to be used in a modernist church, this large stainless steel double candleholder is a striking example of a contemporary Scandinavian style. The clean lines and absolute minimalism bring a sense of elegance and calmness which makes the piece work in many different interior schemes.

Designer and sculptor Søren Georg Jensen had craftsmanship and creativity running through his veins as his father was Georg Jensen himself. Inspired by post-war functionalism, he loved strict and geometrical lines in both his art and his product designs and his work has come to define the mid-century Danish aesthetic.

The Copenhagen candleholder is expertly crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel.
