Since 2009, Georg Jensen has been a member of the United Nations Global Compact. At the beginning of 2024, Georg Jensen became part of the Fiskars Group.Sustainability and responsibility are key focus areas for Georg Jensen and Fiskars Group. We are continuously working to improve operations at our facilities and retail stores to be more sustainable and energy-efficient, leaving a better planet for future generations.
Georg Jensen is committed to continuously preventing and mitigating adverse impacts on internationally agreed principles for sustainable development, including Human Rights, Labour Rights, the Environment, and Anti-Corruption. We strive to contribute to the fulfilment of principles relevant to our business.
Georg Jensen and Fiskars Group's governance, in relation to managing adverse impacts, is aligned with the global minimum standard set by the United Nations Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), as also applied by the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.
Georg Jensen and Fiskars Group have incorporated sustainability and responsibility principles into our governance structure and way of working. We strive to continuously make necessary improvements regarding the social responsibility of Georg Jensen.
Therefore, Georg Jensen and Fiskars Group are committed to establishing continuous due diligence and effective grievance mechanisms to enable impacted persons to speak up and inform proper authorities about significant impacts on the environment or anti-corruption matters.
Responsible Jewellery Council Membership
In 2021, Georg Jensen became a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). The RJC is a standard-setting organization established to advance responsible ethical, human rights, social, and environmental practices throughout the diamond, gold, and platinum group metals jewellery supply chain.
The RJC has developed a benchmark standard for the jewellery supply chain and credible mechanisms for verifying responsible business practices through third-party auditing.
As a member of the RJC, we are committed to implementing and operating our jewellery and watch businesses in accordance with the RJC Code of Practices. We are dedicated to integrating ethical, human rights, social, and environmental considerations into our day-to-day business.
