The Artisans Series: small daily rituals made monumental through 121 years of silver craftsmanship

Presented for in Milan and crafted in close collaboration with Georg Jensen’s in-house silversmiths in Copenhagen, this new silver collection reimagines classic ice cream and coffee serveware in sterling silver.

A celebration of silver in use

Opening an ice cream café during Milan Design Week is our way of celebrating the material that has defined Georg Jensen for over 120 years: silver. We’re bringing it into everyday rituals—whether for a morning coffee or an afternoon ice cream—showcasing its beauty through use.

A taste of Denmark

At Gelateria Danese, the menu features a distinct selection of flavours inspired by Georg Jensen’s home country. We’ve partnered with Copenhagen-based Italian chef Chiara Barla, who has translated her passion for using Danish ingredients into ice cream. On the menu: fiordilatte infused with rye and cardamom, crema flavoured with woodruff (a herb native to Danish forests), and strawberry and beech sorbet.

Pick up a copy of the magazine we created for Gelateria Danese, inspired by iconic Italian crossword publications that celebrate the leisurely moments best enjoyed with coffee and ice cream. Inside, you’ll find creative director Paula Gerbase’s top Milanese spots, a recipe that blends Danish ingredients with an Italian classic, and a guide to brewing the perfect cup of filter coffee.

Served in silver 

Copenhagen specialty roastery Prolog is bringing its beans to Milan, serving high-quality coffee in our new espresso cups with silver saucers, and affogato in a silver coupe, with coffee poured from a small silver pitcher—all part of the new Artisans Series collection introduced in Milan.
