The epitome of sophisticated Art Nouveau styling, it is entirely hand made by some of the world’s most skillful silversmiths in Georg Jensen’s own smithy in Copenhagen. The cup displays the characteristic hammer marks that soften the reflection to create an almost magical shimmer which is supported by a stem that takes the form of a growing vine, twisting up and bursting into bunches of exquisitely crafted grapes.

The original master silversmith himself, Georg Jensen, was highly influenced by the prevailing Art Nouveau movement of the early 20th century. His original silver hollowware pieces featured ornamental curved flourishes, organic shapes and decorations that showed the abundance and beauty of the natural world. These stylistic characteristics, alongside spectacular craftsmanship, can be seen today in the Grape Collection.
